Appointments

We aim to offer an appointment for urgent cases the same day, a routine appointment with a doctor within 1 day and an appointment with the doctor of your choice within 2 days.

To make an appointment please telephone or call in at reception. If you would prefer to see a particular doctor, please ask when you make your appointment. When either doctor is away you will be able to see the other doctor in the practice, and occasionally we use a local doctor to help out.

When you arrive at the surgery, please report to reception. If you are delayed or cannot attend your appointment, please let us know as soon as possible.

Each appointment is for 10 minutes and we try our best to keep to time. Please help us by making an appointment for each patient needing to see a doctor, by telling the doctor at the beginning of the consultation if you have more than one problem you wish to discuss, and by avoiding a long list of problems to be discussed at one appointment. You may request a double appointment if you feel this is necessary.

We now offer online booking of appointments, please speak to a member of staff to get signed up to Vision online services.

Urgent appointments

If you feel you need to see the doctor urgently please let the receptionist know and she will book you into an urgent appointment slot that we reserve in case of need on each day. If you feel the offered appointment time is too long to wait the receptionist may ask you come to the surgery immediately and the doctor will see you straight away or will ask the doctor to ring you as soon as possible. Please do only request this if really needed as it will mean other patients with booked appointments having to wait to see the doctor.

Telephone appointments

The doctors are happy to speak to you on the phone, the best time to call is between surgeries from 12.30 – 3pm. If not available to take your call please leave a message at reception for a return call.
